Dale Fire & Rescue
Chasing Flames Since 1937

From 1880 to 1903 the Department was known as the Dale Fire Protection Association and consisted about 15 members. During that time a horse drawn fire cart was used to fight fires. The fire cart was kept at the old fire hall in downtown Dale. First responders were added to the roster in 1993.
Today, Dale Fire & Rescue provides fire and EMS coverage to the towns of Dale, Medina, Readfield and Caledonia. Dale Fire & Rescue responds to on average ~200 calls per year. In recent years, the department has grown to 51 members including 13 officers, 29 firefighters, and 22 first responders with 13 members both firefighters and first responders.
We are always looking for new members!
